Unable to check Yahoo Mail at COMIC-CON 2010?

Do you use Yahoo! Mail? Were you at Comic-Con today? A good deal of Yahoo mail users were out of luck when Yahoo’s popular mail service was down for at least a couple of hours. With everything going on a Comic-Con I’m sure no one noticed.

Comic-Con International 2010 started today and runs through July 22. One of the most anticipated events today was the Tron: Legacy presentation. Shortly after the presentation special guest Guillermo del Toro stated that he will be working on the film version of the Disneyland attraction Haunted Mansion.

Tron: Legacy, also a Disney project, has been a hot topic at Comic-Con for a long time. The anticipation over the film is almost as exciting as being on a dingy in the middle of tropical storm bonnie 2010. A new 8 minute clip was shown to eager fans. The clip was and panel was followed up by clip of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow stirring up some buzz for the next Pirates flick.

Several special guests are appearing at this years Comic-Con. Comic great Neal Adams and his children, who are following in his footsteps, are on the docket.
The lineup for today had some other notable events as well. Kicking it off is Jeff Smith talking about his upcoming series Bones and his current series Rasi. Another panel on the agenda for tomorrow is Dreamworks Animation’s MegaMind. Some big names, such as Will Ferrell, and Tina Fey are going to be presenting. Another highlight is sure to be Danny Elfman talking about his long and broad career composing soundtracks for films from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure to Alice in Wonderland.
So quit trying to get your Yahoo! Mail account to work and head on over to Comic-Con which is on for two more days. Get out check out what they have to offer if you get a chance.
